At 17, Mr Bob Chua ran a multi-million dollar offshore catering business for his mother who was then indisposed, engineered a mini-empire at university that recruited fellow students to provide low cost overseas call-rates to other undergraduates.
Driven by his motto, “make it happen”, Bob chartered a vertical path through several international market research firms before coming out on his own to form Pulse BPO Sdn Bhd, which is now a globally recognized online market research and intelligence practice with a 133% year-on-year revenue growth over three years and clientele in the US, Asia and Europe. At the forefront of the online market intelligence revolution, Pulse BPO provides a full spectrum of market research services including online data-collection, survey solutions and vital back-end support to market research and media industry giants. Pulse BPO has received numerous prestigious awards including being named Gold Winner at the Malaysian Canadian Business Council’s 5th Business Excellence Awards 2008.
Bob has long been a supporter of the World Wildlife Foundation, and of Worldvision, particularly sponsoring under privileged children across the Asia Pacific region. He runs several projects geared at inspiring and guiding young entrepreneurs to realize their dreams. @ Sept 08

Mr Harvinder Singh has accomplished much since his first foray into the business of making matches at the age of 15. This co-founder of Incontrol Tech Sdn Bhd has steered the company to the forefront of the field of home grown consultants in automation technology laying claim to being South East Asia’s largest particularly in the power industry.
Continuously innovating and driving his team to venture further, Harvinder has steered Incontrol Tech into areas such as waste water treatment, tunnel management and building automation. Today, his workforce has competencies which are on par with global competitors. This is proven by the fact that Incontrol Tech has outbid global competition for prestigious projects in India, Bahrain, Thailand and Vietnam and Indonesia.
Harvinder remains actively involved in youth leadership development programs and Sikh community projects including leading the only Sikh Private Bagpipe Band in the world. He has also contributed significantly through rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts in post-tsunami Acheh. @ Sept 08

Pn Noraini Soltan set up Sipro Plastic Industries Sdn Bhd in 1992 with the aid of Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB) who were looking for a young entrepreneur to venture into the plastics industry. With sheer perseverance and hard work, Noraini has fended off competition from larger players to grow Sipro Plastic from a plastic injection moulding shop with 3 staff, into an established organisation providing comprehensive packages in engineering plastics with a wide customer base in various industries through 3 factories with over 140 staff. It has achieved international quality accreditation recognised by world-class automotive manufacturers.
Noraini has garnered an impressive collection of awards for her entrepreneurial flair from various international bodies and government agencies. She is also actively involved in developing budding entrepreneurs by providing them an avenue to study key processes adopted by Sipro Plastic.
Sipro Plastic has not neglected its social responsibilities to the needy and has donated generously to natural disaster victims and orphanages. Noraini also contributes to the development of the plastics industry in Malaysia, in her role as Vice President of the Malaysian Plastic Manufacturers Association. @ Sept 08

Eversendai Corporation Sdn Bhd, founded by Dato’ A.K. Nathan in 1984 is a reputable player in the fabrication, design and erection of steel structures, having been involved in the construction of such iconic landmarks as the Petronas Twin Towers, the Burj al-Arab hotel in Dubai and the Burj Dubai – currently the world’s tallest building. In all, the company has completed over 100 projects in Malaysia, Singapore, the Middle East, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.
Having to curtail his pre-university course due to financial difficulties, he started work as a printing machine operator and subsequently as an insurance agent. With no formal education in engineering, Dato’ Nathan has grown Eversendai to where it is today, with sheer hard work and perseverance. His first foray into the construction sector was accidental, when he was given the opportunity to work on the Dayabumi project where he learnt Japanese project management techniques on the job.
Dato’ Nathan has steered Eversendai into one of the largest steel contractors in the Middle East with fabrication plants in Dubai, Sharjah and Qatar. Eversendai has awarded the “2005 International Achievement Award” by the Construction Industry Board, Malaysia and at the 20th International Golden Construction Award (New Milenium Award). @ Sept 08
